Domains and email
Your own address, connected by your AI.
Your site goes live on a domain you own, with email at that domain. Bring the one you have, or get a new one at Hover and connect it in one click. After that your AI looks after the technical side for as long as the site runs.
Need a domain? Get one at Hover.
We’ve partnered with Hover for new domains. Search for a name and buy it there; it’s registered to you, in your own Hover account. Then tell your AI the name, and when it says so, click Connect in Hover. One click links the domain to AgentBuild, with no nameservers to copy.
Find a domain at HoverIn Hover, Connect lives on the domain’s Connect tab. Connecting can switch Transfer Lock off, so switch it back on afterward.
Already have one? Keep it where it is.
Any registrar works: GoDaddy, Namecheap, Squarespace, Cloudflare, or wherever you bought it. You don’t move or transfer anything. Tell your AI the name and it walks you through the one setting to change at your registrar.
How connecting works.
The same three steps for a new domain or an old one.
- 01
Tell your AI the name.
Say “Connect mybusiness.com to my site.” Your AI sets the domain up on AgentBuild and copies its existing settings first, so any email you already receive at it keeps arriving.
- 02
Change one setting at your registrar.
At Hover that's the Connect button. Anywhere else it's two nameservers, which your AI gives you word for word along with where to paste them. Your AI tells you when it's time.
- 03
Say “publish.”
Your AI checks the connection and puts your site live at your address, with the security certificate handled for you. The change usually shows up within the hour, occasionally longer.
Email at your domain.
Pick whichever fits. Your AI sets it up and can switch later.
Forwarding, included
hello@mybusiness.com lands in the inbox you already read. Free with your site. Replies go out from that inbox, so it suits a contact address more than a full-time business inbox.
A full mailbox
Send and reply from your domain with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. You sign up with them and pay them directly; your AI adds the records that make it work, including the ones that keep your mail out of spam folders.
Keep what you have
Already get email at your domain? It stays exactly where it is. Your AI only decides where your contact-form leads are delivered.
Common questions.
- Do I need my own domain?
- To go live, yes. While you build, your site sits on a free preview link you can open on your phone and share with anyone. Nothing appears at a real address until you connect a domain and say “publish.”
- Why Hover?
- Hover's Connect button links a domain to AgentBuild in one click, so there are no nameservers to copy. That makes it the shortest path if you're buying a new domain. It's a recommendation, not a requirement: every registrar works, and a domain you already own at GoDaddy, Namecheap, Squarespace or anywhere else connects the same way with one more step.
- Who owns the domain?
- You do. It's registered to you, in your own account at your registrar, on your own card. AgentBuild doesn't sell domains and never holds yours. If you ever leave, you point the name somewhere else.
- Will connecting my domain break the email I already have?
- It shouldn't. Before anything changes, your AI copies your domain's existing settings, email included, so messages keep arriving. Tell your AI you already use email at the domain, then send yourself a test message once it's live.
- What does it cost?
- The domain is paid to your registrar, usually about $10 to $15 a year for a .com. Connecting it, DNS, the security certificate and email forwarding are included in AgentBuild's $15/month. A Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 mailbox is billed by Google or Microsoft.
- Can I use my domain for other tools too?
- Yes. Once your domain is connected, your AI manages its DNS: a verification record for Google, a subdomain for your booking tool, records for a newsletter service. Ask for it in plain words and your AI adds the right records.
- New to domains?
- A domain is the address people type to find you, like mybusiness.com. You rent it by the year from a registrar, separately from your website. Our plain-language guide covers the rest: what connecting means, how to protect your email, and why the wait after a change is normal. Read the guide.
